Rocket Launch Pictures

Our inaugural launch on Saturday May 29th, 2004 at Washington Middle School, Vista, CA.

This is how it works daddy! Hannah giving instructions.

everyone abides by the safety rules.

The 2 launch racks can hold 4 rockets each and can be changed for either 1/8", 3/16" or 1/4" rods.

Dave Eldon arrived at the launch having never built or launched a rocket. Dave then bought the Quest Falcon Kit and some engines from our on site vendor (Scale Rockets) and built it in 30 minutes.

David launched this rocket 3 times on Quest A6-4's, then he changed out the parachute for a streamer and launched it 3 more times with Quest C6-5's.

This rocket nearly went out of site on the C engines, but was recovered every time!

This LOC Precision Graduator owned by Jim Myres, is designed for high power 29mm H engines. However, it's light enough to be launched with a D engine if the wind is low.

Jim launched this rocket 2 times on Estes D12-3's. It made some hair raising flights with a slow lumbering liftoff and a long arching apogee only a few hundred feet up!

A drag race of two of Scott Lindemuth's rockets. The one on the right was behind, but it caught up and passed the rocket on the left as both parachutes came out about the same time.

Scott Lindemuth launched an Astrocam equipped rocket and  took this birds eye view of the eastern border of the field.

Scott Lindemuths Estes Mercury Redstone away!

Ruby Myre's Quest Seeker seeking higher things!

Ruby used this rocket and a Quest Falcon to teach a couple of boys how to launch a rocket.

Both the boys successfully launched and recovered the rockets.

These boys, who came with their families to the field to practice soccer wanted to come to the next launch!

I got it Daddy!
